At the University of Maribor, in our concern for humanity and sustainable development, we are committed to enriching the treasury of knowledge, raising the level of awareness, strengthening humanistic values, a culture of dialogue, quality of life and global justice.

In recent times, we have been closely monitoring the massive peaceful student protests in the Republic of Serbia, with which they are striving to respect human rights, especially the right to security and well-being. In this context, we are concerned about reports of intimidation and violence against students and other protesters on the streets. We show solidarity and support for their demands for a just and safe society, which also includes the responsibility of key institutions. We also advocate for stopping all violence and establishing peace and open dialogue to achieve intergenerational coexistence of all citizens.
